Schnell Families, the Talent Show is on Friday March 25th. Please come to the talent show if you can. We will start with the 1st show (TK, kindergartners, 1st graders, and 2nd graders) at 9:15 ending at 10:15 am. The 2nd show (3rd, 4th, and 5th graders) will start at 10:30 am ending at 11:30 am. TK/Kindergarten Registration Announcement The Placerville Union School District announces that Kindergarten and Transitional Kindergarten Registration for the 2022-2023 school year will begin Monday, February 8, 2022. Our Aeries Online Registration Portal will be live Tuesday, February 1st at 10:00 AM for a one-week pre-enrollment period. This will serve to hold your child’s spot, provided the full enrollment process (online or paper application plus supporting documents and signatures) is completed between February 8th and February 25th. Please follow the link on our District website to fill out and submit the online registration application (chromebooks will be available between the hours of 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM at the District Office) or, for those who require them, paper registration packets will also be available at the District Office. Beginning February 8th at 10:00 AM, registrations can be completed at the District Office. In addition to the enrollment application (either online or on paper), a copy of your child’s birth certificate, their current and complete immunization record, and proof of residency within our district boundaries will be required to complete your child’s registration. If you are unable to submit these documents electronically via the online enrollment application, hard copies can be brought to the District Office. At that time, we will also require your signature on the enrollment application, as well as completion of a handful of other required documents. School-of-choice placement will be guaranteed for siblings of older students already enrolled at one of our elementary schools, provided the full enrollment process is complete on or before February 25th. Otherwise, registration for school site preference will be on a first come, first served basis. If your child will be five years of age on or before September 1, 2022, you may register them for Kindergarten. Children who will turn five years old between September 2, 2022 and February 2, 2023 will be placed in Transitional Kindergarten. Should you need additional information regarding Kindergarten/Transitional Kindergarten registration, please call the District Office at 530-622-7216 x2200.

Schnell DOES have school today. Markham will be closed due to having no power.

Jan. 4, 2022 - Markham Middle School will have a delayed start by one hour due to power issues. Sierra and Schnell School will be starting at the normal time.

Greetings Schnell Families, Happy Holidays!!! Tomorrow will be our minimum day where your child will be dismissed at 12:40 pm. Our buses will take your child to their destination or the Boys and Girls Club. Our students are delighted to spend precious time with their families and pets during the two weeks off. A reminder that our first day back will be Tuesday, January 4th, 2022. I can't believe that we are entering 2022 already. I still remember the time of Y2K in the year 2000. As years go by so quickly, it is essential to enjoy every minute of it. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!!!!
